The Mr Arthur's Puppets Story

Capture.JPG

Keiran Arthur was a primary school teacher and early childhood educator for 30 years who always used his collection of puppets as a teaching tool. After moving from Canberra in the ACT to Berkshire Park in NSW, many former students expressed how much they would miss the puppets.

In 2011, Mr Arthur began the Mr Arthur's Puppets YouTube Channel as a way to share his puppetry with former students. The YouTube channel sent Mr Arthur's Puppets to a worldwide audience and has now been seen in every country of the world views over four million times.

In 2011, Mr Arthur auditioned for Australia's Got Talent and received a call back to perform at the 2012 AGT televised auditions in front of judges Brian McFadden, Danni Minogue and Kyle Sandilands and an audience of 5000 people. This propelled Mr Arthurs Puppets into the spotlight of national and international television and further Youtube success.

Since Australia's Got Talent, Mr Arthur's Puppets has become a business. Mr Arthur and the puppets have been busy producing educational and comedy puppet DVDs and continuing the ever popular Youtube productions.

Mr Arthur's Puppets has branched out to become an online puppet shop supplying awesome quality puppets to the world. Mr Arthur also takes his range of puppets to local markets where he often performs amazing shows. This is a fantastic way to be able to share the love of puppetry and encourage others to engage in puppetry too.

Mr Arthur left teaching to gain further expertise in the arts, and now is also a university trained film and television producer, director, sound recordist and editor. His goal is to combine his talents in early childhood education, puppetry and film and television production to create quality Australian educational puppetry content.
