FM3101 - Abert's Squirrel Puppet

Wildlife doesnt get much cuter than this squirrel puppet. Aberts squirrels can be found in the mountainous areas of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and north central Mexico. They find themselves home among the ponderosa pines and make nests similar to large birds. They are also know as the tassel-eared squirrel.

This puppet features long grey, white tufts on its ears and movable head and legs. Its fur is grey on the sides and white on the belly. It has a bushy tail with white fur on the underside. It may spend a lot of time in trees and is well-adapted for climbing and leaping from branch to branch.

Fun Fact: Abert's squirrel was named after Colonel John James Abert, an American naturalist and military officer who organised the effort to map the American West in the 19th century.
